PK Autumn Trip
I know you will all have heard a lot about the famous PK Piss-Up Autumn Trip weekend...I'm going to tell you more. It is open to everyone, regardless whether you are super-qualified with bells on or a complete beginner...It's all about the drinking/bonding/having fun!!
The trip is usually the last weekend of October. We meet at stores after pool training on the Friday evening, pack into cars and head on down to the campsite in Cornwall. Here, we stay the night in caravans which is a great opportunity to bond with new and old members alike!
Saturday morning, we all get back into cars and head on down to a place called Porthkerris (aka PK). If you are already qualified, this is a beautiful place to dive - it's a nice gentle reef with lots to see.
If you are not a diver, the beach is a great place to wander, sit, chat, chill out, read, eat burgers. There is also a shop of wacky things! You won't get bored!!
We head back to the campsite late afternoon where we dress up in halloween costumes and lots of make-up! There is usually some cross-dressing too <:O
We then have a party arranged for us in a nearby pub or social club. The party commences with food in buffet style, this is followed by karaoke and then a disco after that! There is much drinking, dancing and fun!
Sunday morning/afternoon (once the drivers have recovered) people gradually make their way back to bristol.
This trip is a perfect opportunity to really get to know people in the club - you'll have a great time!
The cost of the trip is kept to a minimum as we are all generally poor students!
The cost will include accomodation Friday and Saturday nights, diving on Saturday day, Buffet Saturday evening, Disco and Karaoke. You will need to bring food for 2 breakfasts and Saturday lunch.
A great time is always had by all. If you fancy it, keep an eye out for emails during the first few weeks of the first term!
