Committee Meeting Minutes – 7th November 2008-11-14

o Money paid into bank from Membership and Trips, boats money to be paid in shortly• Training
o No outgoing costs this week
o Deco workshops and BLS next week – emails will be sent out• Extended Training
o No new trainees this year after Tuesday
o Still lacking instructors• Boats
o Trying to organise official boat handling theory before the Autumn trip
o If the PRM practical cannot go ahead due to lack of instructors another trip to be organised instead
o New flares to be bought for the first boat trip of 2009• Kit
o There are no green dry bags so new colours will be Orange for flares and Zebra for tools.
o When the new bags arrive they will be sorted and a list will be made for the website of contents
o Seacheck will be arranged for after the Autumn Trip at the same time as the engines are prepared for Winter dependant on trainee involvement
• Socialso We now have 21 full sets of kit and all is in working order
o We still need more 2nd stages especially timers for PK
o Teaching of compressor usage for trainees will be looked at in the New Year
o All problems with kit are to be written on the noticeboard – this will be mentioned in the weekly bulletin.
o Suits are to be looked at before Christmas but after the Autumn Trip
o Bar crawl turnout discussed• Trips
o Encourage turnout for the Christmas Meal 29th November
o Autumn Trip planning going well. Finalising food, parking and trainee involvement
o Discussion on possible trips instead of PRM practical if needed
