Committee Meeting Minutes
Committee Meeting: Thursday, 12th June
Present: Piers Bonifant, Keith De Blanger, Craig Rockliffe, Kate Jopling, John Readman, Chris Owens, Johnny Turner, Dominic Warren-Gash, Will Zhou, Mhairi Kerr, Mike Thomas.
Apologies for absence: Alex Moiseley, Mike Shepherd, Sophie Arndtz, Helen Rotsey
Skomer: The trip is expected to finish on Sunday 29th of June, not Tuesday, 1st of July. This is so that a qualified driver can tow the boats back to Bristol.
Kit fixing: 2 cylinders are out of service and another 3 cylinders need DIN inserts. The O2 shore bottle pillar valve also requires attention. Mike Thomas to sort out, along with a kit fixing session before Skomer. Due to the general wear caused by taking DIN inserts out of cylinders, club members will require A-clamp adapters if they with to use DIN first stages with club cylinders.
Boats trailer: A new handbrake is required for the boats trailer. Someone with welding skills is also needed. This is to be investigated by the committee after the Skomer trip.
Static compressor: The filter needs replacing soon.
Mobile compressor: The air filter will need replacing soon. The spare air filters will be taken to Skomer and fitted as needed. An engine oil change is also required, the grade of oil used needs to be determined.
Kayaks: The dive kayaks will be on the Skomer trip from Thursday to Tuesday of the Skomer trip. They can be available for longer if club members are willing to take them home using roof racks. A roof rack request e-mail to be sent out by the committee.
