Committee Meeting Minutes
Committee Meeting 19th January 2007
Present: Chris Mitchell, Ali Carpenter, Dominic Warren-Gash, Piers Bonifant, Dora Lengyel, Chris Akhurst, Mel Veal and Kara Cubbage
Apologies: Kate Elliot
1 PK. Dora has booked Silversands Holiday Park. Booking to be confirmed mid Feb. Numbers to be confirmed mid March. Ali is to contact Sue regarding availability of the pub.
2. Training. Training Materials order going in 20/01/07, Dom to chase after a week. Training Fast Track group, Dom to talk to instructors to find out if there are any suitable candidates. Prioritise Crossovers to get them through pool tests faster.
3. SDC's. First Aid course to be run by Jim Lucas, 1 Day event free, 2 days £200. VHF course Grant from Union £100 towards the course.
4. Tables. Ali to arrange to have the club tables rebound and rephotocopied.
5. Socials. Salsa Dancing 1st week Feb Pub Quiz 2 weeks after
6. Fundraising. The committee is considering various ideas to raise funds for the club. If anyone has any suggestions please email the committee. We will be reviewing options at the next meeting.
7. Boats engines. Well done to Kara for organising the purchase of our two new engines. They will be collected on 27/01/07. Boats are currently away for servicing but are due back mid-March in time for the boat handling course.
8. Visual Aids. Chris M to organise printing of AD and Nitrox lecture materials. Material for other courses will be reviewed next year.
9. Direct Feed. Deadline for article for the next issue of Direct feed will be this Saturday (3rd Feb).
10. Money. Ali has a cheque for the AU to pay this years fees. Any members who owe the club money shall be prevented from going on future trips.
11. Clothing. Email to be sent this month with the aim of ordering mid February.
