Committee Meeting Minutes
Committee Meeting 1st December 2006
1. Present: Chris Mitchell, Ali Carpenter, Dominic Warren-Gash, Piers Bonifant, Dora Lengyel, Chris Akhurst, Mel Veal, Kara Cubbage and Kate Elliot.
2. The committee verified the minutes of the previous meeting.
3. PK Main Trip. Dora has researched a number of options for the accommodation on the PK trip at Easter. The committee is considering the various options and will decide by the end of term.
4. Christmas Meal. At the moment we have approximately 60 people attending the Christmas meal on the 9th Dec. The committee is to help Dora chase those who haven't paid yet. People who are eating should arrive at Stonehouse at 7 to eat at 8. Doors for others will open at 10 and the venue is open until 2am.
5. Boats sub-committee. It has been decided to apply for the alumni fund to replace the boat engines as the boats will remain operational for several years yet. Kara is looking into options for future servicing of the boats that are closer than Tamar Inflatables.
6. Payment for IFC's. Anyone wishing to take a BSAC Instructor Foundation Course may claim half of the course cost back from the club provided they agree to helping with pool training.
7. Use of poolside on Fridays. Ali will talk to the people using the pool before us on Fridays to ask them to not block so much of the poolside.
